KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that he, along with his party, will participate in the All Parties Conference (APC) called by Jamiat Ulema Islam-F chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman on October 31.
Following a momentary meeting between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari during the National Assembly session, the announcement was made by the PPP chief of attending the awaited conference.
Earlier, Zardari had fully expressed his willingness to attend the APC on the invitation of his old political ally Fazl.
On the other hand, a PML-N response is impending on the matter; according to sources, Fazl had failed to convince former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to attend the APC.
However, the PML-N supremo is currently meeting his brother Shehbaz Sharif at the latter’s Parliament House chamber in order to discuss Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s invitation to attend a multiparty conference to devise a joint strategy against the ruling PTI.
According to details, the ex-PM will further deliberate the current political situation and future course of action with his incarcerated brother.
The opposition leader’s residence at the Minister’s Enclave has been declared a sub-jail to incarcerate Shehbaz, according to a notification issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) a day earlier.
