
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China on Monday inked memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation in the fields of forestation and climate change mitigation.
According to the details Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam and Ambassador of China Yao Jing witnessed the ceremony in this connection on today (Monday).
On this occasion, Malik Amin Aslam lauded the Chinese government environmental projects of Eco-Civilization and Green Wall of China.
He said that Pakistanis professionals have been supported by China through participation in training courses on forestry, wetland management and desertification control in the past.
Whereas the Chinese envoy Yao Jing said that this MoU is another milestone in bilateral relation of the two time-tested friendly countries.
The MoU finalized mutual consent of the State Forestry Administration of the People’s Republic of China to expand cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of experience sharing in forest policy, transfer of technology and exchanges on climate change mitigation and adaptation through preservation of forest resource.
