SRINAGAR: Held Kashmir valley mourning over the killings of 11 Kashmiris in Pulwama, on the call of Hurriyat leaders on Sunday.
The valley observing a complete shutdown as the roads are deserted and shopping centres closed amid patrolling of the troops of Indian forces.
The government has deployed large contingents of police in various parts of Srinagar and other areas to curb protests.
Moreover, curfew has also been imposed at several places.
Thousands of people attended the funeral of the people killed in Pulwama in southern part of the occupied territory.
The Indian forces on Saturday martyred three Kashmiris in a search operation in district Pulwama.
Later, firing opened at protesters leaving eight other people dead and around 200 injured.
Eyewitnesses said that scores of people, including Hurriyat activists, staged a protest demonstration at Nowhatta chowk to condemn the killings.
The protesters were raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans as they took out a protest rally.
The protesters called for an end to civilian killings and search operations.
Pakistan has called the United Nations to form a commission of inquiry over Indian atrocities in Kashmir.
