ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Asad Umar will chair a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
The ECC will likely discuss and grant an approval for an agreement between the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) in regard to fuel supply.
The finance minister will also review measures taken to address the issue of urea supply whereas a report on export of surplus wheat and other items will also be presented before the committee.
A summary regarding the release of funds for Pakistan Machine Tool Factory employees is on the agenda as well.
On Dec 31, Umar presided over a meeting to review progress on different economic zones in the country. Minister for Planning and Development Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar was also present.
It was decided that the planning minister will ensure necessary infrastructure arrangements for zones which aim to promote economic activities throughout the country.
