ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Tharparkar on a day-long visit on March 8, Ary News reported.
According to the details, PM Imran to address a public meeting in Chachro on Friday (March 8) and would also review the Thar Coal project. The prime minister would announce a special package for Tharparkar during his day-long visit, said sources.
Former Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim will call on the prime minister and likely to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the occasion.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other senior leaders of PTI will be accompanied by the premier during the visit.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan, on October 21, had presented a report pertaining to the worsening state of drought stricken Tharparker where malnutrition has claimed lives of a number of children.
Through a comprehensive report, PM Khan had apprised of the terrible circumstances inside the Sindh’s district. Premier Khan had expressed his serious concerns over the matter and directed relevant authorities to prepare a relief package for the famine-ridden population of Thar.
