KARACHI: In a surprising move, the provincial health department issued a notification transferring a number of doctors, including the one who passed away some 20 months ago.
As per details, the government notification included the name of Dr Talib who had passed away in February 2017.
Dr Talib was shown to be currently posted at a medical facility in Mirpur Khas from where he was transferred to Civil Hospital, Tharparkar.
In June this year, the Pakistan People’s Party sprung a similar surprise when it issued an election ticket to a party leader who passed away a year ago.
Pakistan People’s Party issued a ticket to Jam Bijar Khan Jokhio on PS-79 who died 12 months ago. It was Owais Jokhio, the son of the deceased politician, who had submitted an application to get the party ticket to contest the July 28 General Elections. But the party issued ticket to the leader who is no more alive.
Jam Bijar Khan, chieftain of the Jokhio tribe and a former member of the Sindh Assembly, passed away at the age of 85 in his native village in May last year, in Jam Goth, in Malir.
