LAHORE: A meeting of Jamat-e- Islami leadership has been underway to devise strategy and review arrangements for “Kashmir March”, which will be held on October 27 in Islamabad.
JI Chief, Sirajul Haq is chairing the meeting in party’s headquarters here at Mansoora today, with office-bearers of the party in attendance. “Pakistani nation supports Kashmiris for their right of self-determination”, JI Chief said while talking in the meeting.
Lamenting International community for bowing down to the Indian atrocities in the held valley, Sirajul Haq said “India will gain nothing in occupied Kashmir, but a “defeat”.
Paying tribute to the freedom fighters, JI Chief urged Pakistan government to take concrete steps for highlighting the atrocities in occupied Kashmir in lieu of traditional statements.
On October 22, Pakistan strongly denounced the killing of more than 10 innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces in its continued acts of state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a statement, strongly condemned the Indian mayhem and added that the people of occupied Kashmir are being victimized to quell their struggle for realization of their legitimate right to self-determination.
Qureshi said, “Pakistan mourns, with its brothers and sisters in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK), on this unabated killing spree and salutes the courage and commitment of the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.”
He said international community needs to take swift action against human rights violations in IoK by the Indian occupation forces.
