RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday presided over the 215th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the military’s General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference reviewed geo-strategic environment and security situation in the country.
“Progress of ongoing operations, fencing along Pak-Afghan border, situation along Eastern Border including Indian ceasefire violations and deliberately targeting of innocent citizens were discussed,” the statement reads.
The top army brass reiterated to continue its efforts for bringing enduring peace in the country while supporting all initiatives towards regional peace. “Forum also expressed its resolved for continued support to all state institutions for ensuring writ of the state and rule of law in which lies the peace, stability and prosperity of the country,” the statement said.
