NAROWAL: Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor on Wednesday said he failed to understand as to why Indian cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was criticized for visiting Pakistan to attend his inauguration in August.
He said Sidhu had brought with him a message of love and friendship.
The prime minister in a jest said that if the former cricket star will contest election in Punjab, he would win.
“Sidhu came with a message of love and friendship. He came to talk about friendship between the two countries. To think that two nuclear-armed countries can go to war against each other is stupidity. No one will win the war,” he said and asked what is the alternative then?
“Friendship is the alternative,” he replied.
