ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) here on Monday refuted the news of Pakistani student, Osama Ahmed Khan’s killing in China and termed it as “fake”, ARY NEWS reported on Monday.
The Foreign Office in a statement utterly turned down the reports about Pakistani student’s killing, who was studying in China, adding ” he [Osama] had committed suicide.”
“The body of the student has been shifted to Beijing, to fly for Pakistan tonight,” the FO spokesman Dr Faisal said.
Reacting to the video making rounds on the social media about Osama’s manhandling, the foreign office spokesperson called people to avoid adding misery to the bereaved family by sharing such news and video on the social media.
Earlier on Sunday, a shocking video of Pakistani student, Osama Ahmed Khan allegedly being beaten in China surfaced on social media.
The video showed Osama was being ostensibly beaten by two men using objects that look like a stone and brick.
Many cars, motors and pedestrians pass by but do not look twice or stop or even call the police.
The deceased belonged to Bahawalpur and was a Civil Engineering student at Shenyang University in Liaoning, China.
