KARACHI: A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will take place this evening to sight the crescent of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, who is the chairman of the committee, will preside over the meeting at Met Office Karachi.
The Metrological Department has said there are slight chances of the sighting of Rabi-ul-Awal moon on the evening of Thursday.
Earlier, the weather department had said the new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1440 AH, will be born on crossing conjunction point at 21-02 PST on Nov 7.
