KARACHI: A case has been lodged at a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station against the blast which took place last night in Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Sunday.
The FIR was registered under sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act, attempted murder and explosive material.
The petitioner in the case is Sub Inspector Javed Akhtar. It has been reported that a citizen informed police on 15 helpline about the incident at 12:10 pm. Plastic pieces and explosive material have been recovered from the site. Forensic team said it was an IED weighing 300 gm.
Inspector General Sindh Police said the blast could be result of any conflict within the party, however the incident was being investigated from every angle. He said a number of suspects were arrested for interrogation.
