RAWALPINDI: A special forces contingent of People Liberation Army China arrived in Pakistan on Saturday to participate in Pak-China joint military exercise ‘Warrior –VI 2018’.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations press release, troops of special service group from both armies will participate in three weeks long exercise.
The military’s media wing said, “Focus of the joint exercise is to share respective experiences in the field of counter terrorism operations and learn from each other.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is sixth joint exercise of the series as part of bilateral military cooperation between both friendly countries.
‘Pak-China joint military drills to improve ability to deal with multiple security threats’
It is pertinent to mention here that China, on September 1, had said joint exercises of China and Pakistan armed forces, training and competitions will help improve ability to deal with multiple security threats and jointly maintain regional peace and stability.
The Chinese defence ministry’s spokesperson had stated this while responding to a question during a briefing in Beijing.
He said these exercises would also help the militaries of participating countries to enhance understanding and deepen mutual trust.
