LAHORE: A medical report has confirmed that two minors who died last month after dining at an eatery in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area had died due to food poisoning after consumption of substandard food, investigative sources told ARY News on Tuesday.
Source say the medical report says that the food poisoning that killed the sibling was caused by the substandard food and it is yet to be determined whether they consumed the unhygienic food from the restaurant or the amusement park they visited on November 10.
The samples were tested at a laboratory in Punjab province’s Lahore city.
The post-mortem report of the bodies had also revealed that the two minors died owing to food poisoning.
The kids breathed their last shortly after dining at the restaurant on November 10 while their mother, Ayesha, was also hospitalised at South City Hospital.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Inspector General Sindh Police Kaleem Imam had taken a notice of the incident and had ordered a transparent inquiry.
According to details, two late brothers named Ahmad, one-and-a-half-year-old, and Muhammad, five-year-old, were sons of Ahsan who is a residents of Creek Vista.
