ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has given special orders to all distribution companies of gas and electricity to lift all scheduled load management across the country on the eve of Christmas, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to details, the directions were given by the prime minister to ensure smooth and hassle-free celebrations for the Christian community in Pakistan on their religious festival.
All distribution companies have been directed to depute special emergency teams to rectify any fault on fast track basis on the occasion, as per the Ministry of Energy.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Khan extended greetings to all Christian community on his official Twitter account.
“Wishing all our Christian citizens a happy and peaceful Christmas,” he tweeted.
President Dr Arif Alvi also extended his greetings to the Christian community all across the world and particularly those living in Pakistan. He further appreciated the efforts and dedication of Pakistani Christians for the socioeconomic development of the country.
“I also take this opportunity to pay rich tribute to the sacrifices made by our Christian brethren in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism,” the message from the president read on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
