PARIS: More and more French and European tourists are opting for Pakistan as a ‘preferred destination’ for tourism purpose, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to details, the representatives of the top tour operators of France called on Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque in the French capital for a debriefing session.
The representatives of French tour company recently visited Pakistan in September on a two-week long trip. They prepared their separate presentations to brief the Pakistani ambassador about their journey which gave them first-hand experience of tourism potential of Pakistan.
As per Radio Pakistan, Moin ul Haque thanked the French tour operators for being a valuable partner in promoting Pakistan as a tourist destination. He also informed them that a dedicated Tourism Office will be opened in the Embassy to further promote cooperation in the tourism sector between Pakistan and France.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had also emphasized on need to incentivize and facilitate the tourism industry while removing all the bottlenecks and hurdles impeding the promotion of tourism in the country.
The premier has directed to develop framework for public private partnership specially to attract foreign and local investment in large scale tourism related projects in the country. He also stressed that relevant tourism departments should develop their tourism policies and plans in accordance to the international best practices of sustainable tourism to ensure the sustainability of environment, local economy and cultural norms.
