KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Sunday arrested target killer of Muthaida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) from Karachi’s area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, ARY News reported.
According to the details shared by the paramilitary forces, MQM-L’s target killer was nabbed from Disco Bakery, an area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
“The arrested killer identified as Farooq, was involved and wanted to LEAS in many heinous crimes of murders and others in the metropolis,” the spokesperson of the Rangers said.
Farooq also played an active role in clash between MQM and Lyari gang war and also killed one in 2013.
The arrested target killer was later handed over to the police by Sindh Rangers.
On November 24, another Muthaida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) worker Mirza Rizwan Baig, was arrested by Rangers who confessed killing at least 12 people during the May 12, 2007 carnage.
According to ARY News correspondent, Rizwan Baig alias Chapati had recorded his confessional statement in the court of the Judicial Magistrate South and admitted his involvement in the bloodshed on May 12, 2007 when the then deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Chaudhry landed in Karachi.

“I had killed 12 political workers and injured 15 others in shootout on May 12 at the rally political parties that were taken out to welcome the deposed CJP in Karachi”, Rizwan told the court.
Rizwan said, he had joined MQM in 2006 and got the job in Sindh government hospital in 2013 with the support of MQM-London.
Detailing the heinous crimes he had committed, he said, he along with help of his companions namely Hameed aka ‘Sainsdan’, Taqi, Mansoor and others, had killed Unit incharge of Suni-Tehreek at Karachi’s Kashmir road in 2010.
