KARACHI: Sindhi Cultural Day is being celebrated across the province on Sunday, ARY News reported.
According to details, various rallies are being organized by different social and cultural groups in the province to mark the occasion.
Sindhi Cultural Day is celebrated to keep the rich culture of the province alive.
On this day, the natives of the province present Sindhi traditional ajraks and caps as a sign e of goodwill.
A number of events encompassing folk songs, Sindhi traditional dance and poetic symposiums will also be held throughout the day whereas traditional cultural items will also be exhibited at stalls.
People form Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Nawabshah, Dadu, Khairpur and other cities of Sindh will celebrate the ancient culture with full swing today.
In order to further promote Sindhi culture, Sindh Minister for Culture & Education Syed Sardar Ali Shah announced, in October, to give incentives for making films in Sindhi language and the culture department would extend full cooperation to the filmmaker in this adventure.
“Sindhi films constitute a great source of entertainment to people at large,” he said while addressing an inaugural ceremony of Sindhi film festival at the Institute of Sindhiology, University of Sindh, Jamshoro.
