ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday said that revival of economy is the top priority of the government, Radio Pakistan reported.
Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Automobile Spare Parts Importers and Dealers Association in the federal capital, here today, President Arif Alvi said the business friendly government is committed to take every measure to facilitate businesses and develop private sector through investment promotion and improvement in ease of doing business.
The president appreciated role of PASPIDA in the automobile spare parts sector.
He said that PASPIDA has made valuable contribution in the auto sector of the country specifically and national economy in general.
Back in the month of November, JW Forland automobiles assembly plant project launched its operations in Pakistan.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said the Chinese company is investing up to $900 million in Pakistan as automobiles will now be fully assembled in the country for the first time.
The prime minister said the project would initially create 5,000 employment opportunities which are likely to increase with the march of time as 45,000 people would be employed by it eventually.
PM had reiterated his government’s resolve several times to provide maximum facilities for enabling business-friendly environment for the investors in the country.
