SHEIKHUPURA: Two children aged two and three were found from a canal in Feroze Wattwan town of Punjab province’s Sheikhupura district on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
According to ARY News correspondent, the two children were kidnapped and killed by a woman with the help of her aides to avenge an years old “insult” as the children’s father had called off his engagement with her and married some other woman.
Police say the children, who were on a visit to their grandmother’s home in Feroze Wattwan went missing after which police arrested four people including a woman named Nabeela on the complaint of the children’s parents.
The woman, her brother and two other relatives confessed killing the minors to “avenge insult” inflicted upon them by the children’s father who called off his engagement with Nabeela few years back.
A large number of area residents gathered around the canal as divers started efforts to recover bodies of the two children.
