ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad said the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would set up an oil refinery in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.
As per details, the decision and talks related to the huge investment were finalized during the visit of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The minister while speaking to media, stated that such an investment would further boost the cordial ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
“The UAE has already announced three billion dollars cash support to help Pakistan overcome its balance of payment crisis while the provision of oil facility on deferred payment is under discussion,” he added.
Highlighting the significance of the closed bilateral relations, Mr. Fawad said the UAE has always supported Pakistan through tough times, “as its leadership considers the country as their second home.”
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan received Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Nur Khan Airbase and later held one on one meeting.
The delegation level talks between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates were also held at Prime Minister house in Islamabad on Sunday. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual, regional and international interests.
