ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said the arrest of senior Punjab minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan reflected the [disciplined] culture of a political party he is associated with, ARY News reported.
Speaking to media here, Chaudhry said the decision on Khan’s case will be taken on merit.
Khan tendered his resignation shortly after being arrested by the National Accountability Bureau earlier in the day. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader was taken into custody when he appeared before the accountability court for the hearing of two cases pertaining to offshore companies and disproportionate assets than income against him.

He said the government was cooperating with all relevant institutions on the issue of accountability.
“Strengthening of institutions is a sign of strengthened Pakistan”, he stated.
Regarding technological revolution, the minister said the technology was being evolved with every passing day.
‘We have also approached the Facebook to open their office in Pakistan,’ informed Fawad Chaudhry.
He admitted that cut in advertisements for print media was a reality “and the government will try to ensure that the funds released for print media should not flow out of country.”
