RAWALPINDI: The land grabbers allegedly occupied 281 kanals land of an Overseas Pakistani family in Rawalpindi, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to the affected family, their land worth millions of rupees, in Taxila was occupied by the land mafia, a year ago, after making alleged forgery into the land record with help of Patwar circle Labthato.
“We have the original ownership documents of the land and the property is registered under our name from 1993,”the family said.
They said the land was transferred in no time by neglecting the ground realities and said, even registration fees and withholding tax was not paid at the time of the transfer.
We have sent applications to Overseas Commission, Punjab Revenue, commissioner Rawalpindi and AC Taxila, about the matter.
The family also appealed Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa to look into the matter and provide them with the justice.
It may be noted that six members of the family namely, Adiba Begum, Aasia Gohar, Ruqayya Khan and their three children are living in the United States while, Hamid Khan is living in South Africa and Basheer-un-Nisa is living in Germany.
