Pak, Saudi Arabia to ink MoUs in fields of sports, youth, crime

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign several Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) in the fields ranging from sports to crime.

On Twitter, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal wrote, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign an agreement in fields of youth and sports, during the maiden visit of Crown prince Muhammad bin Salman.

An MoU on combating organized crime will also be inked between the two countries, as per the FO spokesperson.

In a series of tweets, Dr. Faisal also informed about the formation and launch of Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council (SCC) during the visit of Prince Muhammad.

The SSCC will be led by the crown prince and Prime Minister Imran Khan. “The SCC will help the two countries for effective coordination and follow up to achieve mutually agreed objectives,” the spokesperson added.

It is pertinent to mention here that all the arrangements have been finalised for the first-ever visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, who is scheduled to touch down in Islamabad on Feb 16.

Sources on February 13 had said that seven BMWs 7 Series, one land cruiser, and eight containers carrying essential articles for the crown prince’s personal use had been brought to Pakistan and shifted to the Prime Minister House where the visiting dignitary would stay during the visit.
