LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday foiled a bid of smuggling of drugs and seized millions of rupees worth narcotics here, ARY News reported.
The ANF also arrested three drug peddlers including a B.Sc student, officials said.
The ANF officials during a search arrested two accused in a bus carrying a large consignment of drugs with them, according to the officials.
In another raid the ANF officials arrested a B.Sc student and recovered drugs from his car.
Accused Zain was involved in supplying narcotics at the educational institutions, ANF officials said.
The Anti-Narcotics Force on Thursday seized narcotics weighing 3244.453 kilograms and worth Rs2.379 billion during various raids.
According to reports, ANF officers conducted several raids on the suspected hideouts of drug peddlers and arrested 16 drug traffickers including two women.
Seven vehicles were impounded while further investigation was underway, sources said.
The ANF on March 02 claimed to have seized 900 gram of ice from a Jeddah-bound passenger at Islamabad International Airport.
The arrested man identified as Shafique son of Nimaz Khan, a resident of Kohat, who was travelling to Jeddah via Abu Dhabi from the new Islamabad Airport.
In the month of January, the ANF said it had seized 1995.475 kilograms of drugs amounting in monetary terms to 1.684 billion rupees throughout the country.
