LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced to introduce “e-tendering” system for government contracts in order to curb corruption.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar accorded the approval to bring e-tendering system in the province.
He said the system will be launched soon in all government departments.
Initially, the e-tendering system will be introduced in phases, the CM told, adding that the system will be completely implemented from the new financial year.
“All departments will be bound to pay the contract under the e-tendering system.”

A day earlier, the Punjab government also announced to launch an online portal system for the transfers of teachers.
Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas said the government will introduce an e-transfer policy for teachers to make the postings and transfers process fair, merit-based and transparent.
Explaining about the e-transfer policy of teachers working in schools across Punjab, the minister said the initiative will end the mafia which used to exploit teachers and demand bribes to process matters related to postings and transfers.
