ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Monday will call on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office to apprise him about governance related matters of the province.
This would be the first meeting between both the leaders, after the prime minister had showed his disappointment on the bill recently passed by the Punjab assembly increasing salary of its lawmakers.
Sources privy to the development said, matters related to the governance and performance of the cabinet will come under the discussion in the meeting.
Last week, Prime Minister Imran Khan had expressed deep disappointment over the decision of Punjab Assembly which had passed a bill increasing salaries and privileges to the provincial lawmakers including chief minister.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Punjab Assembly had unanimously passed a bill increasing the salary, allowances, perks and privileges to each legislator.
Under the bill, salaries of the speaker and deputy speaker have been increased to Rs260,000 and Rs245,000, respectively. The chief minister will now draw Rs425,000 per month.

The salary of a minister has been increased to Rs275,000 and an MPA will now draw Rs195,000 per month.
