JHELUM: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, has said that Pakistan’s future is now in safe hands while the civil-military leadership is also on the same page, ARY News reported on Thursday.
“We are on same book and page,” said the information minister.
While addressing a ceremony in Jhelum, Fawad Chaudhry said that corruption was made even in forests in past [by the previous government].
He said that the federal government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has changed policies of the country for the next 40 years.
Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan raised voice for the beautification of cities and the country which was first of its kind in Pakistan.

Criticising release of accused in 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings case, he termed the verdict as a slap on the face of justice and law. He said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was promoting extremism in India while terrorists had also been released by New Delhi in past.
Slamming the opposition leaders, the information minister said that he understood the anxiety of [daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif] Maryam Nawaz as they were unable to move abroad.
Earlier in the day, Fawad Chaudhry said in his Twitter message that 26,000 saplings will be planted in Jhelum II on 50 acres of lands which was recovered from land grabbing mafia.
He added PM Imran Khan-led government took credit for the ‘paradigm positive shift in environmental policy.

It is noteworthy that the Punjab government had lately decided to plant more than one million saplings in the spring season in Punjab during the next two months.
The decision was made during a meeting presided over by Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that beautifying the cities of the province was a priority of the Punjab government in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He directed that feasible proposals should be finalised for beautifying parks and construction and rehabilitation of green-belts along roads.
