LAHORE: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday lamented that he was not allowed to meet his brother Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
“Despite repeated requests, I was barred from inquiring after Mian Sahib today too,” he said in a tweet. “I and other family members would meet [Nawaz] two to three times a week in order to keep abreast of his health but now [their meeting] has been limited to Thursday.”
Slamming the government, the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader said, “Depriving a mother, sister, brother and daughter of this right is utter injustice.”

It is important to mention here that the Supreme Court earlier today issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a petition filed by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking bail on medical grounds.
The three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khan Khosa put off the hearing until March 26.
