ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight schedule at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) badly affected owing to bad weather on Sunday, ARY News reported.
A PIA spokesperson said that at least 11 flights, including domestic and international, had been cancelled today (Sunday) due to bad weather conditions.
Three flights of the national flag carrier for Gilgit, PK-605, PK-606 and PK-607 were cancelled while two other flights for Zhob, PK-689 and PK-90 were also cancelled, said the spokesperson.
He said that flights PK-368 and PK-372, which were scheduled to arrive at Islamabad International Airport were also cancelled due to bad weather.
An international flight PK-769, which was scheduled to depart for Barcelona, Spain today was cancelled.
PIA’s flight for Chitral, PK-660 and another domestic flight for Peshawar, PK-661 were also cancelled, said the spokesperson.

Earlier, Rainfall in different districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, on April 13, had turned weather pleasant.
According to details, it had rained in Lahore, Pakpattan, Chichawatni, Khanewal, Vehari, Ahmedpur Sharqia, Bahawalpur and other parts of Punjab province. Balochistan’s Quetta, Kalat, Sibbi, and other areas had also experienced rainfall.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had said dust-thunderstorm with rain with gusty winds was expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu divisions), Kashmir & Gilgit Baltistan, while at isolated places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), D.I.Khan, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Makran divisions and Islamabad on Saturday.
