KARACHI: Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has said the Federal government is ready to help Sindh government in any matter, it cloud. ARY News reported on Monday.
Talking to the newsmen after meeting with Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, the federal minister said ” Sindh is our province and we [PTI government] want to help the province in any matter it possibly can.”
He said consensus has been made on the matter of telemeters and other “pending issues”, including timely completion of K4 project.
” Excellent working relationship is being enjoyed by the federal and the Sindh government “, he continued.
Replying to a question, the minister said we cannot even think of interfering into constitutional rights of any of the federating unit of the country.
The K4 project, aimed to overcome water shortage in the mega city of Karachi, Mr. Vawda said a meeting is scheduled with Governor Sindh Imran Ismail today’s evening to review the progress made so far on the mega project.
” I have forwarded a suggestion of forming task force that will be headed by the chief minister of Sindh, with Director General Rangers Sindh and Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the province as its members.
The Federal Minister of Water Resources Faisal Vawda appreciated the role of Sindh’s Local Bodies Minister, Saeed Ghani for extending his help whenever needed.
Mr. Vawda warned owners of illegal water hydrants in the city and said he is coming to ‘get them.’
