ISLAMABAD: High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan Wisma Putra called on Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the Foreign Office (FO) to discuss bilateral relations.
Dr Mohammad Faisal, spokesperson of FO, tweeted on Thursday that the Malaysian foreign minister held a meeting with FM Qureshi, in which the latter expressed the desire to further strengthen ties, between Pakistan and Malaysia, in economic as well as political sphere.
Both the dignitaries shared their interest in fostering people-to-people relations between the two countries.
The Pakistani minister said, the historical friendship of Islamabad and Kuala Lumpur is highly significant and Pakistan wishes to further extend its alliance with the Southeast Asian country.

Earlier today, Dr Muhammad Faisal informed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will fly to Malaysia on a two-day visit on November 20.
”During the visit, the premier is scheduled to hold meetings with his Malaysian counterpart and other state officials. The focus will be the promotion of economic cooperation between the two sides, said Dr. Faisal while speaking in his weekly briefing to media.
As per sources, PM Khan is also likely to receive a briefing on Malaysia’s model for fastest development on his trip. Moreover, discussion will be carried on how Pakistan can benefit from the experiences and exposure of Malaysia during its journey towards economic prosperity.
