BEIJING: Pakistan and Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) have agreed to expand cooperation in diverse fields on Tuesday.
According to the details, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Makhdum Khusro Bakhtiar on Tuesday met with Li Ruogu, President of Exim Bank in Beijing and sought cooperation to initiate new projects in the country.
Talking to Exim Bank president, Khusro Bakhtiar said that that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is further strengthening the ties between Pakistan and China.
On the occasion, Li Ruogu said that Pakistan is the top most partner of Exim Bank in connection with the investment and added that many projects under CPEC are continued in collaboration with the bank in Pakistan.

Finance Minister Asad Umar, on November 28, had said the government was not in hurry to obtain a bailout package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to boost the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
In an interview with Bloomberg, he said: “We aren’t in hurry. We are covered even if it delays for two months.”
The minister said the bailout talks with the IMF will resume in a January meeting of its executive board.
