KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Sunday thanked the international players for coming to Karachi to play cricket, ARY News reported.
“Every city including Lahore, Multan and Hyderabad have as much excitement as Karachi has upon staging of the PSL matches in the country,” Murad Ali Shah said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) here at National Stadium Karachi.
Beginning his address, he prayed for the 50 departed souls and several others injured of the New Zealand mosque attack victims.
Expressing felicity over holding of PSL matches in Karachi, the Sindh CM said two years ago he had promised to bring PSL matches to the metropolis. The following year all PSL matches in Pakistan were held in Karachi, he said adding that it was a victory of Karachi that all PSL matches were being held here.

CM Murad eulogized both the finalist teams saying that no matter which team won the final it would be a victory of Karachi and Pakistan.
In the end, he raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans.
On March 9, Murad Ali Shah had said in the coming years the PSL matches would be held in different other cities including in interior Sindh.
“We have to expand the PSL matches to Multan, Lahore and Rawalpindi as well as different cities of Sindh,” he had said while talking to media in Karachi.
